Who Is the Bikertress?

Johnny Weir’s Bikertress, a.k.a. “Atomic Kitten,” is a dedicated fan who came up with the idea of volunteering to ride anonymously in the AIDS/LifeCycle event on behalf of Johnny and his fans just one month ago. Her selfless example is an inspiration to all of us, and it is largely due to her tireless efforts—training, networking, promoting, and encouraging so many to get involved—that her idea became a reality.

Follow Her Journey!

You can follow Atomic Kitten’s progress throughout her 545-mile ride beginning Sunday, June 6, 2010, at 6.a.m. She’ll be tweeting and twicpic’ing along the way, so please follow her on Twitter here! Her tweets will also be posted on Facebook on the Ride for Life Fan Project page here.

Check Out What She’s Wearing!

As word of our project spread, we were so very fortunate to have some really wonderful people get involved to help outfit the Bikertress!

Ban.do: As one of Johnny’s favorite places to shop, Ban.do offered to decorate Atomic Kitten’s helmet in a way befitting the King of Sparkle himself. the one and only Johnny Weir. Click here for photos of the process and of the finished product! Click here to visit Ban.do’s blog and watch their video of the helmet creation process!

Tagless Threads: This fantastic vendor donated printed T-shirts for Atomic Kitten to wear on her journey, featuring artwork created by Johnny Weir fans! These two designs were created by wonderfully talented Facebook fan Mary Mimi Dzyacky!

How You Can Help

We're asking that you join Johnny in supporting “Ride for Life” by offering your own two cents--roughly two cents per mile, that is!--for a total donation of just $10. Of course both larger and smaller donations are welcome, so please do whatever works for you. But just your two cents--added to the two-cents-per-mile donations of thousands of others--has the power to change many, many lives affected by AIDS.

You can donate via credit card, debit card, or personal check at Johnny’s main AIDS/LifeCycle page. If you submit your donation there, your name will be added to the scrolling list of donors that appears on that site!

If you’d prefer to donate using PayPal, just click the PayPal button below! PayPal donors’ names will not appear on the scrolling list of donors, but will be included on this page!

Tagless Threads also printed this beautiful design of Johnny’s name, created by Russian fan Alena Zakurazhnova, on a third T-shirt that Atomic Kitten will be wearing!
